The House at Bridal Veil
is the real life account of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist who rescued the house from a slow death and brought it back to life. This book is dedicated to the people who built the house and all who came after. The story of their lives echoes in the lives of us all.
Bridal Veil is a community in the Columbia River Gorge of Oregon where an extraordinary estate (designed by architect Morris H. Whitehouse) sat in sore neglect in 1975, when it was purchased by energetic members of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist for a communal residence and Life Education Center.
